The book “Cover Cover,” designed by the esteemed Irma Boom (1960), celebrates the twenty fifth anniversary of the Dutch fashion designers Viktor&Rolf: known for their experimental and conceptual haute couture. Books designed by Irma Boom are similarly renowned for her conceptual and experimental approach to book design: an attitude in which original content, trial crafted dummies and professionally produced objects seemingly collide and fuse into an end result. This is why the object is now at display in the Department of Poetics, in The Library of Inextricable Books.
