Graphic designers Loes van Esch and Simone Trum (Team Thursday) were fascinated by the patterns they discovered as mysterious mason signs in the bricks of the South Korean houses during their residency in the city of Seoul. They brought these found ornaments back to their studio in Rotterdam. There the patterns were sorted and categorized, extracted, traced, turned over, repeated, deformed, shed or reduced. As famous chefs, Loes and Simone experimented with form, permutation, structure and color, and the addictive challenges that lie in the limitation of the rules. In 'Von Wersin's Kitchen' they cooked with graphics and give us an insight into their profession.
