Graphic Matters presents the exhibition 'The Palace of Typographic Masonry' together with Grote Kerk Breda. The main part of this exhibition is the 26-piece chest of drawers that was on display in Turin in 2021 under the title 'An Alphabet of Cases'. Each ingeniously unfolding drawer represents a space of the infinite building. This travelling exhibition has been expanded, supplemented and refined.
In addition, 3 so-called inspection cases are set up, through which 3 graphic works are viewed through 9 different objectives – before being included in the Palace's collection. This process can be followed in the videos of Meeus ontwerpt. The Grote Kerk Breda itself is also viewed this way, in a newspaper designed by Nóra Békés.
The exhibition at the Grote Kerk Breda has enabled The Palace of Typographic Masonry to invite åbäke, Farah Fayyad & Ott Metusala, Benjamin McMillan, William Jacobson and Edgar Walthert to consider various collections and design new contributions to the building.
