Through a triple poster series created by graphic designer Bart de Baets ('It's a sign', 'I made it' and 'Lock up, Lock down') the Bonus Room expanded in February 2021 into the public space of Amsterdam. While it distributed a collection of ordained graphic images, from ubiquitous clichés of popular- and commercial culture, it revises visual habits and turns recognizable images into ambiguous symbols.

"I Made It” is about production and the tools one uses to make a design, like rulers and tape, simple graphic structures like grids, chequered and brick-like structures, shades of grey through rasters and scratches. A grid of pencils divides the postres into six blocks displaying mostly black and white images. The colours are practical yet alarming colours like red and yellow referring to hardware stores and budget shops.
