Nsibidi is a system of thousands of symbols. The meaning of these symbols is only known to the Leopard society, a secret society of men in Africa. Whereas it is still being used in a tribal context (?), applied in tattoes, textile patterns and hand gestures, it also inspires contemporary artists.
